Hayırsever kişiliği ile de tanınan Merhum Mehmet Cahit AKINCIOĞLU eğitime çok önem vermekteydi ve en büyük arzularından birisi de okumuş ve yetişmiş bir nesil görmekti. Bu bağlamda kaba inşaatı tamamlanmış olan Akdeniz Üniversitesi Merkez Kütüphanesi'nin tefriş ve dekarasyonunun tamamını Sayın M.Cahit AKINCIOĞLU üstlenerek üniversite'ye bağışlamıştır. Akdeniz Üniversite Senatosu, Sayın M.Cahit AKINCIOĞLU'nun bu bağış jestine karşılık ismini tefriş ve dekarasyonu yaptırılmış olan mekanlara vermiştir.

Known for his charitable personality, the late Mehmet Cahit AKINCIOĞLU gave great importance to education as one of his desires was to see a higher educated and cultured generation. Therefore, Mehmet Cahit AKINCIOĞLU had undertaken the entire furnishing and interior decorating work of the Central Library of the Akdeniz University and has donated same to the university. Against this thoughtful gesture made by Mehmet Cahit AKINCIOĞLU, the Senate of the Akdeniz University has given his name to the furnished and decorated sections.
